Epoxy Quartz
Graded quartz sand set in resin. The toughest floor we install, and the one that grips.
Quartz is flake's harder-wearing cousin. Instead of vinyl chips, kiln-fired coloured quartz sand is broadcast into the resin — usually twice — and then locked down. The result is a thicker, denser floor with real aggregate carrying the load.
The texture is the point. Quartz builds slip resistance into the surface itself rather than relying on an additive mixed into the topcoat, which is why it ends up in the places where floors get wet and stay wet: wash bays, commercial kitchens, locker rooms, pool surrounds, entryways that take weather.
It costs more than flake and it takes longer, because a double broadcast is genuinely more work. What you buy is a floor that shrugs off impact and chemicals and does not get slick.
